Talkwyn privacy policy
This Talkwyn privacy policy explains what we collect on talkwyn.com, why, and how long we keep it. It also explains, separately, how the Talkwyn plugin handles data on your own website, where we do not receive your chats or leads. Last updated: October 10, 2026.
Who we are and what this Talkwyn privacy policy covers
talkwyn.com is run by [company], [address]. You can reach us about privacy at devnabiakhan@gmail.com or through our contact form.
This policy has two parts. The first covers talkwyn.com: your account, your orders, the license server, and our cookies. The second covers the Talkwyn plugin running on your site, where you, the site owner, control the data. If you run a chatbot on your own site, our chatbot privacy checklist lists what to check.
Data we collect on talkwyn.com
- Account details: your name, email address, and password (stored hashed) when you create an account.
- Orders: what you bought, billing name and address, and tax details. Card payments are handled by [payment]; we do not see or store full card numbers.
- Messages: what you send through the contact form, and our replies.
- Waitlist emails: your email address and the platform you asked about, so we can tell you when it launches.
- Partner details: if you join Talkwyn Partners, your partner name, payout details, and referral records (clicks, trials, and paid referrals).
- Analytics: if enabled, pages viewed and general device and browser information through no analytics tool at the moment.
License server data
When a site with a Talkwyn Pro license checks its license or looks for updates, it sends talkwyn.com the license key, the site URL, the Talkwyn plugin version, the WordPress version, and a hashed IP address.
We use this to validate the license, count sites against your plan, deliver updates, and prevent abuse. The license server does not receive your chats, your leads, or your site content.
Cookies
- Essential cookies keep you logged in, keep your cart, and protect forms from abuse.
- twh_ref is our referral cookie. When you arrive through a partner link, it stores that partner’s referral name for 60 days so the right partner gets credit if you buy. The last partner link you click wins.
- Analytics cookies, if analytics is enabled, help us understand which pages are useful. The twh_ref partner cookie waits for your marketing consent when a cookie banner that supports the WP Consent API is active. You can delete cookies at any time in your browser. The free Talkwyn plugin itself contacts talkwyn.com only if a site owner ticks the news opt-in in its setup wizard, which is unticked by default.
How we use your data
- To create and run your account, process orders, and deliver licenses and updates
- To answer your messages and send service emails, such as renewal reminders
- To tell waitlist subscribers when a platform launches
- To track referrals and pay partners
- To keep the site secure and improve it
We do not sell your personal data.
Sharing, retention, and your rights
We share data only with services that help us run talkwyn.com: hosting ([hosting]), payments ([payment]), email delivery ([email service]) and analytics (no analytics tool at the moment), under their own privacy terms. We may disclose data if the law requires it.
We keep account and order data for as long as your account is open and as long as tax law requires, then delete it. License server event logs are kept for 180 days, with IP addresses stored only as hashes. Orders and invoices are kept as long as tax law requires. Waitlist emails are deleted when you unsubscribe.
You can ask to access, correct, export, or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by contacting devnabiakhan@gmail.com. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
How the Talkwyn plugin handles data on your site
The Talkwyn plugin runs inside your own WordPress site. For the chats on your site, you are in control of the data, and we do not receive it.
- Only public, published content is indexed. Drafts, users, and passwords are never read.
- Chats and leads are stored in your own WordPress database, not on talkwyn.com.
- When a visitor sends a message, it goes only to the AI provider you picked, under that provider’s terms.
- Chat logs are deleted after 30 days by default. You can change that, or turn logs off. Leads are kept until you delete them.
- You can hide the chatbot on checkout, thank-you, or any page, and show a built-in privacy notice in the chat.
- The chat script talks to your server only when someone sends a message.
If you run Talkwyn on your site, mention it and your chosen AI provider in your own privacy policy.
Security
We protect talkwyn.com with encrypted connections, access controls, and regular updates. IP addresses sent to the license server are stored hashed, not in plain form. No system is perfectly secure, so if you believe your account has been misused, contact the Talkwyn team right away. If a breach affects your personal data, we tell you by email without undue delay and report it to the authorities where the law requires it.
Children and changes
talkwyn.com is meant for businesses and is not directed at children under 16.
We may update this policy. When we make important changes, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, tell account holders by email.
